Hype Duo are an upbeat acoustic duo located in Sydney that have been performing at weddings, pubs, clubs and corporate functions since early 2007. Hype are available as a duo, trio or four piece band and use only the highest quality session musicians to complete the band line up. They offer a range of music that varies from dinner music to pub rock/dance sets.
Greg Weir (Lead Singer) is an acomplished singer/guitarist who has worked professionally as both an original artist and as a covers musician. His high energy and stage presence makes him perfect for filling the dancefloor as well as performing soft dinner music tunes to add a special touch to any event.
Mick (Lead Guitarist) has worked professionally as a guitarist for over 10 years and has worked with a number of professional acts performing at the Sydney Opera House/ The Sydney Convention Centre and on Sydney Cruise Ships.
They have performed at many high profile events including:
The Sydney Safety show at the Superdome, Homebush
The International sourcing Fair: The Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre
Fashion Exposed: Dockside Darling Harbour
The Australian Open Tennis Championships
on The Sydney Harbor Ballroom and MV Blue Room (Sydney Cruise Ships)
At Weddings in and Around Sydney and Many more.
Our Inclusions with every quote: -
• Performance Length - We provide up to 3 hours of performance time (not including our breaks) that you are free to spread across the length of your function as you wish. This is typically divided into 3 x 1 hour sets or 4 x 45 minute sets. You are also welcome to specify if you would like dinner music sets, up beat dance sets or our most common option, a combination of both.
• We supply all of our own PA / Sound Equipment required for our performance.
• We will learn x1 new song for your wedding. This is typically the bride and grooms first dance song. Please ensure you send your request with reasonable notice, we also need to ensure this fits within our singers vocal ranges.
• We can download and cue music of your choice for the following formalities of the night (bridal entrance, cutting cake, bouquet/garter toss)
